Figure will be conducted on stage as follows:
Front and Back
Competitors will stand heels together, feet outward at an angle, knees together and unbent. Shoulders back, arms relaxed at the center line of the body, elbows slightly bent, thumbs and fingers together, palms facing the body, hands slightly cupped, finger tips resting on or slightly toward thighs.
Quarter Turns
Head and eyes facing the direction of the body. Heels together, feet outward at an angle, knees together and unbent. Shoulders back, chest out, left arm relaxed and slightly back from center line of the body with a slight bend in the elbow. Thumb and fingers together, palms facing the direction of the body, hands slightly cupped. The positioning of the left arm will cause the upper body to twist slightly to the left lowering the left shoulder. The right shoulder raised and angled toward the judges. The right arm will be slightly bent at the elbow with the hand slightly cupped and pointed toward the center of the body.
All three rounds of quarter turns
will be conducted the same.
** Please note that there are only three rounds at
level 3 and 4 shows and not in level 1 and 2 events. Therefore the two piece
black in not required for level 1 and 2 shows.
